DEL BOY lookalike faces prison after one dodgy deal too many.

JAMIE PYATT The Sun 16 November 2005

Only Fools And Horses fan Steve Disbrowe — a ticket-seller for rail firm Silverlink Trains — syphoned more than £7,000 into his own accounts.

He set up a scam giving refunds for season tickets to non-existent customers, a court heard.

Disbrowe, 30, made £2,540 on one season ticket after giving a refund for “poor performance on the railway lines”.

But at Middlesex Guildhall Crown Court he admitted eight counts of false accounting.

Judge Simon Smith said: “The courts view people who steal from their employers very seriously. Prison is recommended.”

Disbrowe, of Hemel Hempstead, Herts, earns extra cash as a Del Boy lookalike with a yellow Robin Reliant — just like actor David Jason’s BBC character.

Disbrowe will be sentenced next month.
